- Editing: Either light medium or deep editing. It depends
on how much the text needs, as well as how much the author is willing
to invest in getting an improved product. Most authors want a 'ball park' idea of what it appears needs to
be done. To do that, the prospective editor will have to read the current
draft, and make an assessment. . That initial phase, is similar to an estimate
you get when taking your car to the mechanic. However, because that first step
may take between two to six hours, and includes at least an hour of compiling a
written assessment. For anyone who takes their text seriously, that assessment
is valuable, and we at Sabai Books don't do it for free. Neither do we do it
with kid gloves. On it, one of our in-house editors indicate which areas need
improvements, and approximately how many hours it will take to improve the
telling of your story. You, as the author, can take that initial assessment and
decide whether to hire us to do a 'Light, Medium, or Deep Edit.
Proofing: Similar but briefer than Editing. Checks grammar, spelling, sentence structure and formatting.
Copy-Writing: (writing 'copy' for ads, brochures, etc.) The difference between an 'ok' wording for an ad, or 'very good' wording can mean the difference between whether an ad is successful or not. Of a few well placed words and phrases double an ad's 'pulling power' from $5,000 to $50,000, then it's well worth investing a few bucks for an improved version.

Provisional Patents with the US Patent office. A regular patent costs a great deal, takes a lot of time (not least is research by your patent attorney). In contrast there's a little-known legal provision called a 'Provisional Patent.' An idea which came about during the Clinton years, it enables an inventor to formally secure an idea for a years - during which time he may get additional funding to do a full-fledged patent, or he may decide to abandon the plan. Better to let it go after only invested a couple hundred bucks, than to let it go after having spent thousands. The process is relatively cheap, and the U.S. Patent Office will keep your description and plans on file and assign your invention a unique number which will secure your idea for a year.
ISBN If you have a book, and e-book, or an audio book or anything publishable, you're welcome to apply with us for an ISBN. In affiliation with Adventure1 Publishing, we will review your request and decide whether we choose to do so. If so, we charge $95 - which is considerably less than the going rate of $250 from the one other company that sells ISBN's. The ISBN's we assign are unique, globally recognized, and completely legal.
Get Listed To get your publication listed on any of the big sites like Amazon or Google Books, or Baker & Taylor, an ISBN is needed. Through us, you can have a legitimate ISBN - plus, we'll assist with getting your publication listed on those heavy-hitting web portals. Indeed, E-bay has a provision for selling anything that can be put in a digital file - whether it be a book, a picture gallery, a set of gifs, software, a digital game, whatever legal. Sales can take place anytime - without even the need for email exchanges between buyer and seller. Hypothetically, you could be snoozing and a bunch on online transactions could be taking place that transfer money directly from buyers to your bank account.
